Built on the foundations of Abintegro, Access Careers Centre marks a major evolution of the platform, transforming a trusted careers tool into a next-generation career development ecosystem.
Advanced with emerging technologies, including AI-powered skills assessment and personalised guidance, Access Careers Centre will help students and alumni better understand their strengths, build career readiness and connect with relevant opportunities.
The platform also enables universities to deliver personalised, scalable careers support at a time when institutions are facing increasing financial and staffing pressures.
Bridging the gap between education and employment
Graduates face an increasingly complex labour market, with recent figures showing around 707,000 graduates are currently out of work – up 46% since 2019.
As employers continue to report skills gaps and difficulties identifying suitable candidates, Access Careers Centre analyses individual skills, qualifications and graduates' own ambitions to provide tailored guidance, career pathways and job recommendations.
The platform brings the entire career journey into one place, using AI to guide students from early exploration to workplace readiness and employment. Its intelligent tools combine personalised insights, practical exercises, and targeted support to strengthen employability, giving universities a scalable, future-focused way to deliver effective careers guidance quickly.
Access Careers Centre also integrates an award-winning library of more than 1,300 CPD-accredited resources, designed to help students and alumni understand their skills, explore career pathways and build workplace readiness. The content works alongside the platform’s AI-powered tools to support self-assessment, skills discovery and a deeper understanding of the changing world of work, including the growing impact of AI on careers and the labour market. This integrated approach enables more independent career development while freeing advisers to focus on higher-value coaching and guidance.
Features such as its AI-powered CV scanner help students improve applications and compete in an increasingly automated recruitment landscape. Access Careers Centre also includes Interview360, an AI-powered interview training tool that helps people improve their performance in interviews, with users receiving instant and unique feedback on body language, communication and voice quality.
Jake Niarchos, Director at Access Careers Centre, said:
“Universities are under growing pressure to demonstrate clear employability outcomes while supporting more students with fewer resources. At the same time, they must show prospective students the tangible value of further education amid rising indecision about career paths.
“Students need more than job boards – they need the confidence to articulate their skills and safe spaces to explore, experiment and grow. While technology is creating entirely new career opportunities, it is also increasing uncertainty. Our role is to help students recognise their potential and understand where they fit in a rapidly changing world.
“Access Careers Centre enables institutions to deliver personalised, scalable careers support at pace, helping students build the confidence, skills and experience needed to succeed in an AI-driven workforce.”
The platform also helps universities by supporting both Office for Students (OfS) and Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) reporting requirements. OfS has recently increased its focus on graduate employability and student outcomes, and the TEF requires universities to track career progression over time.
Access Careers Centre gives teams clear insight into student readiness, enables more targeted support, and helps universities track employability outcomes better, while demonstrating the long-term impact of careers.
Jake continued:
“Employability is no longer just about first destinations after graduation. Universities need to prepare students for lifelong careers. Our platform enables institutions to deliver data-driven support at scale while strengthening connections between talent and employers.”
