Vehicle leasing veteran joins the fold

A renowned vehicle leasing veteran is the latest recruit at Northampton-based Silverstone Leasing.
New account manager David Purvis has been in the motor trade for over 25 years, starting off valeting cars before going into body shop quality control and new car sales at a local dealership.
When his first son was born, David shifted into brokering to escape weekend working for a better fit with family life.
David, who was with his previous employer for 15 years as sales broker and account manager, said the new environment at Silverstone Leasing has been a welcome change after more than a decade in one place.
“Everyone has made me feel very welcome and the office banter is second to none,” he said. “I’m looking forward to the fast pace and busy days and I’m sure I’ll fit in no problem.”
David, who is passionate about the industry said the East Asian car market is currently the one to watch.
“The Chinese market is growing extremely quickly with lots of options on highly specified vehicles,” he said. “Electric vehicles are also still growing in sales.”
