Gurj joins BDO as tax partner from Azets UK, where he was Managing Partner of the Birmingham office and National Head of Capital Allowances.
At BDO, he will be responsible for supporting mid-market businesses with their capital investment and infrastructure projects. This will span a range of sectors, including real estate, manufacturing, healthcare, leisure and hospitality. Gurj will also help to develop and grow a specialist capital allowances team across the Northern region, while working alongside the national capital allowance team.
The Midlands tax team has expanded rapidly of the last few years, adding deep specialists across the full range of taxes. The team now has 12 tax partners across the firm’s Birmingham and Nottingham offices, with Gurj adding to the senior ranks.
