Marrons bolsters Leicester team with associate director appointment

Planning, design and development consultancy Marrons has strengthened its Leicester office with the appointment of Sally Stroman as an associate director.

Sally brings more than 30 years of planning experience, having started her career at the London Borough of Bromley, where she gained extensive experience in both development management and planning policy.

She later held senior roles in private practice at Aitchison Raffety, APC and Smith Jenkins, working on projects spanning commercial development, SEND and care home provision, renewable energy schemes, and complex multi-disciplinary developments.

Her portfolio includes brownfield regeneration schemes, major leisure and tourist developments, and large-scale community projects.

At Marrons, Sally will support the development management team, offering a responsive and strategic approach to development projects from inception through to securing planning permission.

Sally said:

“I was drawn to Marrons by the collaborative and multi-disciplinary approach to development projects.

“I’m excited to contribute to the growth of the Leicester office, share my experience, and help develop areas such as energy, SEND provision and care home projects.

“My favourite part of the role is building strong relationships with clients and achieving positive outcomes, particularly for challenging sites.”

Marrons’ Leicester office continues to support the consultancy’s national expansion strategy, delivering expert planning, design and development consultancy services across the Midlands and beyond.

Jacqueline Jackson, planning director at Marrons, said:

“Sally is a tremendous addition to our Leicester team.

“Her breadth of experience across sectors and her track record in managing complex projects will be invaluable to both our clients and our colleagues.”

“She brings a depth of knowledge that will help nurture the next generation of planners within Marrons, while driving forward the strategic growth of our Leicester office.”
