Local business marks milestone in growth and recognition, founded by 40-year RAF veteran
Nottinghamshire-based Prospero Mediation and Training has been named “Most Innovative Workplace Mediation Provider 2025” at the prestigious SME Midlands Enterprise Awards, recognising its forward-thinking approach to conflict resolution and training in the workplace.
Founded in 2020 by Chris Breedon, who served in the Royal Air Force for 40 years before retiring in November 2024, Prospero has built a strong reputation for providing people-focused mediation services and delivering high-quality, CPD Group–accredited training courses to organisations across the region and beyond.
Speaking about the award, Chris said:
“When I started Prospero, my goal was to help workplaces handle conflict in a way that built understanding and strengthened teams. The skills and values I learned during my RAF career — discipline, clear communication, and respect for others — are at the heart of everything we do.
This award is recognition not just for me, but for our clients, partners, and supporters who have believed in our approach from the very beginning.”
Prospero works with businesses of all sizes, from small local firms to national organisations, providing mediation to resolve workplace disputes and tailored training to equip managers and employees with the skills to manage conflict constructively.
Chris added:
“Securing CPD accreditation for all of our training courses was an important step. It means clients can be confident they’re getting high-quality, professionally recognised training that delivers real-world results.”
The award follows a year of growth for Prospero, and Chris is quick to thank those who have supported the business’s journey, including mediation and training partners, industry colleagues, and friends and family.
