Simplify’s Dev Malle named Business Leader of the Year

Dev Malle, chief business development officer at Simplify - the UK’s leading independent conveyancing and property services group - has been named Business Leader of the Year - Conveyancing at the British Mortgage Awards.
A widely respected figure across the property and finance sectors, Dev’s recognition comes during a period of significant transformation for Simplify, as it looks to revolutionise conveyancing through exceptional customer service and innovative new technology.
Dev has consistently demonstrated visionary leadership, commercial acumen, and an unwavering focus on collaboration and innovation. Under his guidance, Simplify has doubled remortgage volumes, and maintained a sector-leading customer satisfaction score of 97%.
Beyond the numbers, Dev has led the business’s shift towards a seamless digital customer journey — championing AI and smart automation to make moving simpler and faster for home movers.

Dev is also a committed advocate of inclusion in financial services. As an active member of the DIFF Steering Group and mentor through the AMI Mortgage Industry Mentoring Scheme, he continues to advocate for progress, diversity and inclusivity in the sector. Dev made Simplify a signatory of the Mortgage Industry Mental Health Charter and recently joined its co-founder on a six-day, 141-mile trek from Birmingham to London in support of the Niall Stringer Foundation suicide prevention charity during Mental Health Awareness Week — another powerful example of his leadership in action.
He is also a trustee of the Simplify Charitable Trust, supporting charities including Honeypot - supporting young UK carers - and Snehalaya, the home for disadvantaged and differently abled children in India. His commitment reflects his belief that inclusion, empathy and leadership are inseparable.
This award recognises not only Dev’s exceptional leadership but also his enduring commitment to customer service, innovation, and partnership in a rapidly evolving market.
