Taylor Wimpey donates to Derby family support charity

Taylor Wimpey North Midlands has made a £250 donation to local charity, Children’s First Derby, based near to its Boundary Moor Gardens development.
Children’s First Derby provides relief for families suffering or facing distress throughout Derby. The family support charity provides bespoke family support, mentoring, and supervised family time for vulnerable children and families.
The donation from Taylor Wimpey has been dedicated to the running and maintenance of these support services.
With support from local volunteers, Children’s First helps vulnerable parents and families by providing advice services, workshops to develop and gain skills, establishing daily routines, budgeting advice and access to local community support networks and services.
Irshad Baqui, CEO at Children’s First Derby, said:
“The support we offer families throughout Derby is so important and we must rely on external support and donations to help us continue our work with young people and families across the city, so we’re very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for this donation.”
The charity’s mentoring service provides a range of clubs and workshops for young people to enjoy, such as drama, climbing, football and Jiu Jitsu as a way to create positive relationships, increase self-esteem and diversify their interests.
