Eaton Syalon Celebrates First Year of Growth and Success

Eaton Syalon, the East Midlands-based recruitment consultancy, is celebrating a successful first year in business following its launch in early 2024.

Founded by Jo Eaton and Dom Syalon, the business was established with a clear vision: to deliver authentic, relationship-driven recruitment services across Accountancy & Finance, HR, and Professional Services.

With decades of combined experience in corporate recruitment, Jo and Dom saw an opportunity to do things differently — putting people first and ensuring both clients and candidates benefit from a truly personal, tailored approach.

From Two Founders to a Thriving Team

What began as a two-person remote venture has quickly evolved into a growing team of five, with the addition of Dave Worger, Kerry Newham, and Lyndsey Henry. Together, the team brings over 70 years of combined recruitment experience, along with deep knowledge of the East Midlands market and a shared commitment to trust, flexibility, and genuine care.

The team’s collective expertise has allowed Eaton Syalon to expand its reach across the region and support a diverse range of clients, from owner-managed SMEs to private equity-backed businesses, PLCs, and fast-growing scale-ups.

In 2024, Eaton Syalon also secured its first office space, situated within a bustling hub of like-minded, young, and growing businesses. This collaborative environment has played a key role in fostering new ideas and connections.

Over the past 12 months, Eaton Syalon has helped businesses across a wide range of sectors secure top talent for their Accountancy & Finance, HR, and Professional Services functions. Co-Founder Jo Eaton said:

"One of the things we’re most proud of in our first year is being able to attract three of the highest-calibre recruitment professionals in the East Midlands to join our journey. Dave, Lyndsey, and Kerry not only bring exceptional expertise and reputations in the market, but they also share our values and vision for what recruitment should be. To have them on board at this stage of our growth is something we’re incredibly proud of, and it puts us in a fantastic position for the future."

Co-Founder Dom Syalon added:

"One of the most rewarding parts of our first year has been seeing the positive response to the way we work — offering clients and candidates a personal, flexible and honest approach to recruitment. As we move into our second year, we’re committed to building on that foundation and continuing to offer the kind of service that we’d want to receive ourselves."
