Charity hosts gaming night at new spot in Nottingham

Base 51, a Nottingham charity that has been supporting young people in the city for over 30 years, are hosting “Game For Good” at Roxy Lanes.

Roxy Lanes open on Bottle Lane in Nottingham last summer. It’s Roxy Leisure’s second site in Nottingham, featuring activities such as ten-pin bowling, shuffleboard, batting cages, ice-free curling and more, alongside the brand’s premium food and beverage offering, and signature rock and indie playlist.

Base 51 is a local charity that provides counselling, a youth club, a LGBQTIA+ group and a safe space for 11-24 year olds in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. They have been working in the area for 32 years, supporting generations of young people who are struggling with their mental wellbeing.

On the 19th March Base 51 will be taking over the Roxy Lanes for 2 hours from 5.30pm, with unlimited gaming on the ice-free curling, batting cage, shuffleboard, bowling and tech darts for just £6 per person. Game For Good is open to all ages with under 18s requiring an adult accompanying them. All profits will support the charity’s work in Nottingham.

Verity Woods, Head of Fundraising at Base 51 said:

“We’re excited to host Game For Good at Roxy Lanes, providing an affordable way to try these games and have an evening out in Nottingham with family, friends or colleagues. Throughout the year we host events to raise vital funds for our charity, including a Colour Run, Wine Tasting and more - making it easy, and fun, to make a difference!”

Tickets can be found on Eventbrite or the charity’s website: www.base51.org/events
