The deal will see both groups partner to support Platform’s customers in their eastern region, including properties across Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire and offer ongoing support to help improve homes and communities. Travis Perkins will supply general building and heating materials across the whole of Platform’s housing stock, to be used by their in-house contractor, Platform Property Care.
As part of the contract, Travis Perkins Managed Services will launch a branch in Louth, Lincolnshire in April to aid the partnership and drive contractual efficiencies, providing operatives with access to products that are relevant to the housing association’s requirements.
Ben Clifford, Regional Account Manager for Travis Perkins Managed Services said:
“We’re really proud of our new agreement with Platform Housing Group. By working together we’ll be able to support the operatives on the ground who are responsible for carrying out the repairs and maintenance of those homes, so that residents can benefit from the highest possible standards of housing.”
Lee Vernalls, Platform Property Care’s Director of Compliance & Commercial Operations said
“Platform is extremely pleased to extend its long standing partnership with Travis Perkins and work in new geographic areas. We anticipate huge benefits from this partnership as it will enable us to standardise our building materials and roll out the consistent management of van stocks, which will lead to an improved customer experience.”
