Rowan received £1,500 from Barratt and David Wilson Homes which was put towards the charity’s ‘Raise the Roof for Rowan’ campaign to replace the leaking art centre roof.
Rose Bloomfield, Fundraising and Events Manager at Rowan, said:
“We were absolutely thrilled to hear Barratt and David Wilson Homes had chosen us to receive this donation. Its generosity reaffirms the importance of our work and the positive impact we strive to have on the lives of our student artists.
“We run workshops Monday to Friday, 50 weeks a year, ensuring every student develops their individual social and communication skills and participates in a stimulating group experience.
“Everyone at Rowan would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Barratt and David Wilson Homes. This donation, along with other support, has enabled us to cover the entire cost of replacing our leaky roof.”
The housebuilder’s donation came from The Barratt Foundation, which is designed to support national and local charities, large and small, across the UK to leave a legacy in the communities in which the housebuilder builds new homes.
Will Phair, Sales Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Cambridgeshire, said:
“As a leading housebuilder we strive to support the communities in and around the areas in which we build, and we are delighted to be able to offer Rowan a donation to support the fantastic work it does.”
