MUCH LOVED LOCAL PUB AND RESTAURANT TO RE-OPEN NEXT YEAR

A much-loved country house hotel and pub in the picturesque Vale of Belvoir village of Knipton, will be re-opening its doors in spring 2025.

The Manners Arms is set to welcome visitors once more following an extensive refurbishment which will breathe new life into the Grade II listed former shooting lodge whilst retaining many of its 18th Century character features along the way.

Part of the Belvoir Estate, The Manners Arms Pub, Restaurant and Rooms will launch with a new menu, refurbished bar and dining room and ten stylish bedrooms.

Its bedrooms, all with an en-suite, are being overhauled as part of the renovation to provide guests with a homely country retreat to enjoy whilst visiting the area.

Emma Manners, The Duchess of Rutland who is personally overseeing the project said:

“This beautiful, homely country retreat was the heart of Knipton village for many wonderful years and we would very much like to put The Manners back into the centre of the local community once again.

“The building is too stunning to leave empty with so many cherished memories attached to it. I feel people have missed The Manners Arms and all that it offered – so I hope the news of its reopening will be very welcomed.”

The wider Belvoir Estate is also extending its visitor offering for the colder months, with new menus at the Belvoir Bistro and delicious wood fired pizza available once more when the outdoor pizza ovens are relit from 23 November. This coincides with the opening of its Festive Christmas Village events at the Engine Yard which include a magical Christmas Grotto experience and naughty elves playground trail.

The outdoor kitchen and heated marquee next to the Belvoir Bistro will be providing a new takeaway food and drink offering alongside the planned relaunch of the Vale View Cafe, which is situated in Belvoir’s main car park next to the Adventure Playground. Perfect for walkers, cyclists and anyone wanting a delicious take-away treat, the friendly café will serve home-made sandwiches, soups, cakes and drinks when it re-opens later this month.
