New Software Development Lead Drives Digital Innovation for Auctioneer

Nottingham headquartered national auction house, John Pye & Sons Ltd, has bolstered its IT team with the appointment of Rob Walker as Software Development Manager.

In this newly-created role, Rob will lead John Pye’s developers to deliver innovative, high-quality software to continuously improve John Pye’s online auctions. The in-house team is dedicated to increasing efficiency and functionality John Pye’s proprietary online auction platform to constantly enhance the online bidding experience.

Rob brings 30 years’ IT industry experience to the team, including support and network administration, plus has over 20 years of experience in developing websites and online applications. Having previously held a role with John Pye, Rob has recently returned to the business after three years in the returns processing, marketplaces and auction environment of a start-up.

His daily responsibilities include creating and managing project plans, timelines and budgets and aligning development efforts with business goals. Identifying areas for process improvement and driving initiatives to enhance productivity and quality are also key requirements of the role.
