Throughout the year, Howes Percival staff will be fundraising for the Leicester-based homeless charity with a range of activity including:
All money raised by staff throughout the year will be match funded by Howes Percival up to £3,000.
The Bridge Homelessness to Hope was nominated by Lyndsay Jordan, Office Manager at Howes Percival who completed the Manchester Marathon in April, raising £673.75 for the charity. Lyndsay said:
"Homelessness has increased over the past few years with the cost of living crisis and other factors, and homeless people are in a situation where they are getting less help from the government, so supporting charities like The Bridge is extremely important to me.
“I’m proud to have been able to raise what I have for The Bridge and I hope I may have inspired others to take part in challenges to raise money for important causes!”
Justine Flack, Partner at Howes Percival commented:
“As well as raising much-needed funds for The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, we’re also aiming to help by raising awareness of homelessness with our networks of contacts and colleagues. Having a roof over your head and keeping warm should both be basic needs in a modern society and our staff really feel that, which was why they voted accordingly for our new Charity of the Year.”
David Fawcett, Chief Executive at The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, added:
“We’re delighted that the team at Howes Percival in Leicester voted to select us as their Charity of The Year. They have so many plans for different fundraising activities that will keep them all very busy this year and will hopefully raise a significant amount of money to support our vital services for the homeless community in Leicester.”
