Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

So far this year, we have spoken to a lot of students about their career opportunities within the cyber security industry and how the EMCRC can potentially help with that all-important route in.
With that in mind, for any students who have joined our social media community recently - either on the back of talking to us at the University of Derby Talent Fair, or one of the Step Into Cyber events, or just by finding us online - here’s a reminder about the pathways we have available...
Cyber PATH – Cyber PATH is an elite talent pipeline for the next generation of specialists in cyber resilience; it's an excellent way for students to engage in the commercial aspects of the sector and gain vital experience whilst helping SMEs with their cyber resilience. Details can be found here: Cyber PATH - National CRC Group. We don’t expect to be recruiting again in the East Midlands again until late 2024/early 2025. Watch this space!
Volunteering – there may be options for students to volunteer with us, possibly working on our Community Outreach campaign (for an example of what that entails see here: EMCRC partners with Derbyshire Constabulary for community campaign) as it rolls out again this year. Details are yet to be confirmed; keep an eye on our social channels and on our website. If you’d like to register your interest in becoming a volunteer at the EMCRC, you can also email info@emcrc.co.uk explaining that you are interested in volunteering. We can then add you to a shortlist and inform you when the application process begins. All our volunteers must undergo DBS checks.
Internships (University of Derby students only currently) – There are opportunities for 6-month internships, part-funded by the University of Derby. Please speak to your careers advisor on campus, or check out the Careers and Employment Service page on your intranet.
