Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

Now in its 6th year the Colour Run is a highlight in the Leicestershire summer calendar, and promises to be a fabulous day with fun for all the family – even the family dog!
Entrants can run, jog, or walk their way around the 5km route, laid out in the grounds of Charnwood College, whilst battling some optional inflatables and getting colourful with powder paints. You can come along in your own attire, purchase a white t-shirt on the day or wear fancy dress if you prefer….there is even a prize for the best dressed pooch sponsored by Petsworld in Coalville.
As before, there will be activities, stalls and local vendors offering entertainment and refreshments throughout the day which starts at 10.00 and ends around 13.30. This year LWA are delighted to feature:
There will be a goodie bag and medal – sponsored by Midland Quarry Products – for every entrant and certificates for our fundraisers.
Thank you East Midlands Airport Community Fund who have provided cash to replace some of our Colour Run equipment – we couldn’t do this without you.
We are excited to welcome the newly elected Mayor of Charnwood, Cllr Julie Bradshaw MBE to open the proceedings. Julie has chosen LWA as one of her charities for the Civic Year and we are very pleased that she is supporting us.
Every penny raised will help Living Without Abuse support victims of domestic abuse and/or sexual violence across Leicestershire, Leicester, and Rutland.
Emily Corrigan, Head of Fundraising:
‘This is such a fun day – we ask supporters to register as soon as possible and start fundraising if you can! Bring friends and family along on the day – there’s plenty to do whilst spectating. For those who don’t fancy taking on the course challenge we are also looking for volunteers to help with marshalling and even throwing a bit of paint. There is something for everyone.’
