Hop into Easter fun with Leicester's egg-citing hunt across town

Get ready for an egg-cellent adventure!
Throughout half term, starting 22nd March and running until 8th April, families and friends can enjoy a free easter adventure in Leicester city centre.
Crack clues to find hidden Easter eggs scattered throughout the city centre. Hop around the town discovering all 8 eggs to claim a chocolate treat at the end of the trail and be entered into a competition to win a bundle worth over £100.
The bundle includes two Cath Kidston spring print mugs (donated by John Lewis), a large handmade chocolate egg from Cocoa Amore, an Easter Jellycat plush toy, and a £30 pizza voucher to be spent at DoughWHAT.
BID Leicester, Leicester’s Business Improvement District is hosting the egg hunt on the LoyalFree app in partnership with local businesses. BID Leicester is a not-for-profit company funded by local businesses, working to raise the profile of the city and make it a cleaner, greener, safer, and more attractive place for all who live, work, visit and study here.
BID Leicester Director, Simon Jenner said:
"We are thrilled to launch Leicester's first-ever Easter egg hunt in partnership with local businesses. This inclusive, accessible and free event not only offers families and friends a fun-filled activity during half term but also showcases the vibrant spirit of our city centre."
The prize bundle includes treats from some of Leicester’s most loved shops. Pete Gardener from Cocoa Amore, award-winning independent chocolatier based on Silver Street, said:
"We are delighted to contribute an exclusive handmade chocolate Easter egg to the prize bundle for this exciting event. It's wonderful to see the community come together to celebrate Easter and support local businesses."
Using the LoyalFree App, participants will crack the clues to find the location of the next egg and scan QR codes to collect each one on the app. Once all the eggs have been scanned, the location of where to claim their chocolate treat will be revealed.
The hunt promises to be a fun and rewarding way to get out and about during half term, is fully accessible and suitable for all ages.
