Sir John Peace, a time machine, AI, virtual reality and a robotic dog. Love Business Expo 2024 had it all – and more – as it offered thousands of delegates from across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire a blast to the future.

A huge thanks to everyone involved in making this year’s expo better than ever. The event continues to go from strength to strength, and record visitor numbers this year are proof of that.

Sir John, a guest of our partners KuKu Connect, kicked the event off in his own inimitable style, talking about the immense strengths and opportunities on offer in the Heart of the Midlands.

We had a lineup of fantastic speakers sharing their expertise and insight into what the future might hold for business, and the technology on the horizon that will shape it.

The expo areas were packed with amazing exhibitors from across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire showcasing the best our region has to offer.

The team at Fancy Entertainment did us proud, bringing the theme to life with immersive time travel-related experiences throughout the day. KuKu Connect, SMB College and the FSB provided networking opportunities galore so that people could catch up with old friends, make new connections and share opportunities.

And this year’s panel discussion, a firm favourite every year, once again didn’t disappoint. East Midlands Chamber, Love Business’s long-time headline sponsor, assembled a stellar line-up of local business, education, regeneration, digital and creative leaders to share their thoughts on the region’s strategic priorities for skills and economic growth.

Once again, a massive thanks to all our event partners and sponsors, without whom the event wouldn’t have been possible. And thanks to the team at Holywell Park Conference Centre for being excellent hosts, as always.

The event once again created a huge buzz on social media – check out the hashtag #LoveBusinessEXPO for the all the action and best pictures. The amazing feedback we received from guests throughout the day made all the hard work that goes into organising the expo worth it. It means a lot to us and drives us to keep pushing the event forwards. We’ll definitely be back in 2025… bigger and better than ever!
