Binks Yard to host second pop up party for its summer finale

After the huge success of its iconic 10th anniversary Pop Up Party earlier this spring, canalside venue and entertainment space Binks Yard will be seeing off the summer in style, with its second Pop-Up event of the year.   

Taking place at its popular outdoor space, the Binks Terrace, on Saturday 23 September, music lovers and party goers will be able to soak up the last of the summer spirit during the exciting all-day event.  

During the day, a stellar line-up of DJs will take to the Binks Yard stage, including renowned Ibiza DJ Michael Gray, house DJ collective Melon Bomb flying in from their Ibiza residency, deep house DJ and producer Smokin Jo, and disco singer Shèna. 

Kicking off at 2.00pm until 10.00pm, the event it set to be the best yet, with live singers, dancers, acrobats and confetti cannons for a party to remember.  

For those looking to make the day extra special, there’s also the option to start the day with a Balearic Brunch. Marking the perfect way to get the party started, guests will be able to indulge in treats from the Binks menu accompanied by the sounds of DJ Danny Whitehead – known as Black Hawks of Panama and former Café Mambo resident – who will be blending soulful grooves with uplifting house beats.  

Ben Hicklin, head of events at Binks Yard, said: “After our April Pop Up Party was such an enormous success, we knew we simply had to host another. Our upcoming event in September is the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer, before the autumn starts drawing in. And, what a party we’ve go planned.  

“We’ve got a fantastic variety of DJs and performers set to hit the Binks stage during the all-day party, with lots of exciting surprises set to take place throughout the day. Watch this space for even more announcements soon.”  

In addition to the exciting roster of DJs on offer, all guests will be able to choose from a range of food and drink options throughout the day, served from the Binks Yard Cubes.   

Ben added: “Since its launch earlier this year, the Binks Yard outdoor terrace has hosted some brilliant events, providing a really special place for the people of Nottingham to come together and enjoy a range of live performances. And, our outdoor food and drinks offering plays a big part in that.  

“During our upcoming Pop Up event, not only will the music be amazing, there’ll also be great food and drink available to buy – whether you’re popping in early for the Balearic Brunch to kickstart the day or need a mid-party pit stop from the Binks Yard smoker menu. 

“We’re really excited to be hosting another Pop Up Party, and we look forward to seeing music lovers join us as we say farewell to summer, the Binks Yard way.” 

Tickets are now on sale and start at £33.35 and are selling quickly so we recommend getting them as soon as you can.  

The upcoming Pop Up Party marks just one of the events still to come at Binks Yard this summer. Other events taking place include the Binks Yard Country Jamboree on Saturday 2 September from 12:00-14:00pm which will feature live country music, DJs and line  dancing. 

Another stella event in the pipeline is the Nottingham Jazz Festival, which takes place on Saturday 9 September from 2:00 – 22:00pm, and will feature a selection of renowned and talented jazz musicians such as Antonio Forcione, Snake Davis, The Edgar Macias Quartet and amazing sets from Jazz 2 God DJs and Urban Intro.
