Sport and exercise psychologist Dr Phil Clarke, and coach to Olympic athletes Andy Wood, are at the Love Business Expo to share their knowledge and expertise gained over many years.

They run business champions courses to examine how leaders can be better equipped to keep on top of everything.

Phil Clarke will speak about his focus which is about businessmen and women understanding more about themselves and how they work and perform.

He said: “I help them develop their own high-performance habits to allow them to thrive in the office and in their personal life - with emphasis on energy management.”

The online sessions focus on personal development, performing under pressure, helping people be the best they can and building high-performing teams.

Using webinars, group coaching sessions and one-to-one meetings, Dr Clarke starts with people’s mindset and how they behave in different situation and goes on to offer ways to maximise their strengths.

Andy Wood is a co-founder of the Derbyshire Institute of Sport and a former world-class coach who led national badminton teams through five Olympic cycles.

He mentors our athletes and teaches them to be mentally fit and tough, characteristics which is applied to the business world.

Andy said: “Just like I love to watch our athletes flourish or transform into a top-class sportsman or woman, the same can be applied to business leaders.

“It is all about managing mindset around performance and choosing the best approach. The people who have reached the top in business have self-awareness, are good communicators and are motivated. We can help people develop these characteristics.”
