Window Wonderland Competition brings a sprinkle of Christmas cheer - and the chance to win £50 vouchers for shoppers

Over 40 businesses across the Cathedral Quarter and St Peters Quarter Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) are taking part in a competition to create the best festive window display to excite and delight Christmas shoppers this year.
Participating BID businesses will be judged on their creative and festive flair by visitors and shoppers to the city centre, and every member of the public who votes for a window will also be entered into a free prize draw to win one of three £50 shopping vouchers to spend in the outlets within the Cathedral Quarter and St Peters Quarter.
A specially selected panel of local stakeholders will also be judging entrants on their window displays, and will present a trophy to the winners in each of the two BID areas.
Businesses taking part will have their displays in place from Friday 18th November, with public voting starting on Tuesday 22nd November. Voting will close on the 11th of December, and winners will be announced on Tuesday 13th December.
Voting for your favourite Window Wonderland display is simple; Visitors who download the LoyalFree app will be able to follow a special trail, taking them from display to display, and giving them the chance to vote for their winner.
There will also be QR codes in each participating window, allowing shoppers to scan and vote as they come across their favourite.
Brad Worley, Cathedral Quarter and St Peters Quarter BID Manager, is delighted to see so many of the city centre’s businesses participating in enhancing this year’s festive shopping experience in Derby.

“With people flocking to the shops in the run up to Christmas, this fun-filled trail will add a bit of extra sparkle to the family visit, and the chance to win a £50 shopping voucher by voting on their favourite window just adds to the excitement!”

More than 40 businesses from across the two BID areas have signed up to take part, and visitors are encouraged to download the LoyalFree app - https://www.loyalfree.co.uk/ early to make sure they can visit as many of the festive displays as possible, and claim their chance of winning a £50 shopping voucher.
