The Stay Company launches new serviced apartments in Nottingham

A new £2m development to provide serviced apartments for corporate and leisure guests in Nottingham opens next month (OCT).

The Stay Company is launching Whitefriars House, on Friar Lane, after the completion of a major refurbishment, transforming three levels of the four-storey building into 17 open plan studios, and one and two bedroomed luxury apartments.

The development, which is just a minute’s walk from Nottingham’s Old Market Square, added an additional floor with an architect-designed, state-of-the-art mansard roof extension and retains the original art-deco fenestration.

The new serviced apartments offer spacious and flexible accommodation for corporate clients looking for extended stays in Nottingham, as well as leisure travellers who want self-contained, flexible, and spacious accommodation for shopping and theatre visits.

The Stay Company says the vision for Whitefriars House is to create a true ‘home from home’ experience for guests.

Dan Wilkinson, Director of The Stay Company, which has its headquarters and further accommodation in Friar Gate, Derby, says he is proud of the new development and everything that has been achieved at the Nottingham site.

“It is also an added investment to The Stay Company’s growing portfolio. In fact, a planning application for our next development in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, is already at an advanced stage.”

Three apartment types are available: studio, one bed and two bed. Each apartment includes super-fast, reliable, and private Wi-Fi, fully fitted and equipped kitchens, living rooms, ergonomic seating, and workspaces. As with all sites operated by The Stay Company, guests benefit from secure premises and car parking, professional housekeeping and 24-hour phone support.

Work by PKL Investments is now complete (OCT) and the entire tenancy has been taken over by The Stay Company.

This latest acquisition takes the total number of The Stay Company serviced apartments to almost 100 across the East Midlands. Bookings for Whitefriars House are now being taken ahead of its official opening on October 31.
