Nottingham firm announces appointment of Court of Protection solicitor

Nottingham law firm Rotheras has recruited a specialist solicitor to act for clients in Court of Protection matters.

Senior Associate Ruth Tarr joins the firm’s Wills, Probate and Trusts team where she will specialise in acting for vulnerable individuals and their families. Ruth will represent adults and children with acquired brain injuries who lack mental capacity following personal injury or medical negligence. Ruth will also be acting for elderly clients and individuals with learning difficulties and mental health issues, as well as providing litigation support to the firm’s Personal Injury and Medical Negligence lawyers.

Ruth, who previously worked within a specialist Court of Protection department at Freeths for 10 years, is an Associate Member of Solicitors for the Elderly and a Technician Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Ruth said: “I am delighted to join Rotheras. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside my new colleagues in the Private Client and Personal Injury teams to develop a well-rounded service for our vulnerable clients.”

Christina Yardley, CEO at Rotheras said: “I am delighted to welcome Ruth to the firm. Ruth’s expertise will complement the private client services that we offer and her experience of working with adults and children with acquired brain injuries will be invaluable in supporting our serious injury team.”
