Hollis celebrates five years of innovation in Nottingham

International independent real estate consultancy Hollis is celebrating five years since launching its Business Transformation Unit in Nottingham.

Hollis’ Nottingham office opened in 2017 and now has a team of over 20 responsible for sourcing and implementing technological advances across the firm’s UK and European offices, as well as delivering IT support, infrastructure, software development and programme management. The team rebranded in 2019 to Digital Transformation when Kerry Macleod joined the firm. The office is also home to a number of fee earners delivering work to local clients in the region lead by Director Richard Morris.

Under Macleod’s leadership, the Digital Transformation team has continued to grow, implementing a number of strategic digital and cultural changes, including:

  • The roll-out of Dynamic Project Service Automation & Finance & Operations (ERP), the largest transformational change project ever undertaken by Hollis
  • Achieving ISO27001 accreditation, giving our clients confidence that their data is safeguarded
  • Putting data at the fore with extensive data cleansing across the firm’s IT estate
  • Launching a new internal Hollis Hub and mobile risk app making specific tasks far easier and allowing employees to perform their jobs more efficiently

Looking forward, Hollis is busy developing new initiatives that will work with other tools and technologies, such as H360 and virtual TDD to create a best-in-class client experience.

Commenting on the milestone, Kerry Macleod, Head of Digital Transformation, said:

“When I joined Hollis, the transformation team had already made great strides in embedding new ways of working and new technologies to enhance the firm’s offering and create greater value to our clients through improved efficiency.

“I am proud to have since led the team in anticipating, adapting and responding quickly to change and ensuring the firm’s surveyors, engineers, technical specialists, consultants and project managers always have the resources to develop and enhance their services, and to find innovative and imaginative approaches to problem solving for clients. It was thanks to our investment in the future that we were able to successfully navigate the challenges that resulted from Covid-19.

“I am delighted to be celebrating this milestone and would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the entire Nottingham team on their hard work in growing the business over the past five years. That extends to our clients in the area whom Richard Morris and the team have enjoyed working with.”
