PKF Smith Cooper Systems Report Excellent Progress with Plans to Expand & Upgrade Further

PKF Smith Cooper Systems are proud to announce the opening of a new office in Pride Park, Derby - occupying c12,500 square feet of grade A office space.

The new area for PKF Smith Cooper Systems is equipped with a bigger, open plan working space across 3 floors, including leisure facilities such as break out rooms and a gym for team members and clients.

Employees are expected to move in around September 2022 and renovations are already underway to transform the building space.

James Bagley, Managing Partner at PKF Smith Cooper, commented:

“Last year we made a significant decision when we joined the PKF International network. This year we plan to keep that momentum going and moving our Derby team into new and improved accommodation is the next stage in our strategic plan.”

PKF SCS has also expanded their team, with Andy Jones joining the team as Sage Project Manager. Andy has been working in project management for over a decade, ranging from Estate Compliance for Severn Trent Water to more recently, working as a Service Transition Specialist at FedEx, supporting IT projects from their earliest stages to implementation.

Another addition to PKF SCS is Sufyan Iqbal, as a Sage CRM Consultant. Sufyan studied Business & IT at Coventry University, and for a year after graduating, worked as a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer at Coventry & Warwickshire Primary Care Trust. We wish the best for these two in their futures with PKF Smith Cooper Systems.

2021 was also a record breaking year for the local business, showing increases of their customer base by 20% and staff headcount by 50%. Despite the troubles in the business climate due to Brexit and Covid-19, the company continues to see success. Underpinned by three successful acquisitions- acquiring the Sage business of Price Bailey LLP, Cellular Solutions Ltd and Sci-Net Ltd within a 4 month period across the Summer.

Chris Smith, Managing Director, commented:

“At the start of 2021 I began to look at acquisition opportunities but never imagined we would close out on three deals in such a short space of time. Not only have we acquired a great group of new clients this year, but we have also been delighted to welcome some amazing new staff who have fitted in superbly to our already excellent team.

I am very excited by what the new year holds in store for the business as we move into this next phase of our development. I have promised the team that we will have a quieter year… but then we might not!”
