105-year-old still runs own property portfolio

Impressive centenarian Marjorie Eve Wright must be the oldest landlady in Northamptonshire.

At 105, the centenarian still runs her own property portfolio, alongside lettings agency Belvoir, appointing tradespeople for maintenance work and liaising with tenants.

Marjorie, who also does her own accounts, has lived in Kettering her whole life and been a landlady for over 50 years.

Marjorie enlisted the help of Belvoir shortly after her 100th birthday at her daughter Eve Wilkins’s suggestion after an unpleasant experience with one particular set of tenants.

Eve said:

“Despite probably being the oldest lady in Kettering, she’s very much on the ball. She still lives independently and is very much involved with running the properties.

“She’s not daft, she goes down and checks on any work being done to make sure it’s done correctly!”

Belvoir Kettering managing director Bobby Singh Braich said:

“It is an absolute pleasure to work with Marjorie on her lettings portfolio. She is an incredible woman and a highly valued customer.

“We enjoy helping her with her property needs and giving guidance on the current legislation of the dos and don’ts. We pride ourselves in going that extra mile for our landlords and ensuring a stress free, happy and affordable experience when renting out your home.”

Belvoir provide a personalised lettings service, including full management, tenant find only, tenant find with rent collection and let only.
