Radcliffe on Trent Opticians Celebrates 10th anniversary

Lesley Cree Opticians in Radcliffe on Trent is celebrating its 10th anniversary of the practice opening on Main Street in the South Nottinghamshire Village. To celebrate the anniversary, Lesley and the team held an open morning on Saturday 30 July 2022.

The practice has grown steadily over the years; going from employing 2 members of staff to the 9 today. Lesley’s son Ben also joined the business in September 2016 and later began studying to become a qualified Dispensing Optician. He is also now a Director and fully registered with the General Optical Council.

There have been many highlights over the last ten years. From winning the National Young Practice of the Year award in the 2015 Association of Optometrist Awards to our nomination in Nottingham Post Women in Business Awards in 2016.

In 2019, Lesley Cree was one of the first opticians to invest in a brand-new, state-of-the-art laser Optos eye scanner, and are the local stockists for many leading designer brands that include RayBan, Tom Ford, Gucci, and William Morris.

Commenting, practice co-Director Lesley Cree said,

“It seems so surreal that 10 years ago I was inside the shell of the old Halifax premises that I would realise my dream of opening my own optician’s practice. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last ten years.”

A very loyal and growing client base has enabled Lesley Cree Opticians to expand its services by offering more appointments, online booking, as well as being able to save visits to the eye hospital thanks to an ability to carry out treatment for minor eye conditions within the practice.

Co-Director Ben Cree added,

“Looking ahead to the next ten years, we promise that our commitment to a friendly personalised service will never waiver. We have also just implemented Lesley Cree Opticians Hearing Care into the practice, providing the facility for residents to have hearing tests or hearing aids locally which will hopefully further support our fantastic community.”
