me&dee is a self-funding registered charity based in Melbourne, Derbyshire. They have a small team who work relentlessly to provide memory making experiences and gifts for families facing short and uncertain futures together. They are unique in England in that they support families where the parent or the child has any life threatening, shortening, or terminal condition. Predominantly families are given a free holiday in the charity owned lodge situated in Sherwood Hideaway within Sherwood Forest. So many families face days and weeks of separation due to aggressive treatment, transplant failures, extended treatment; me&dee give the family an opportunity to have time together, away from all the stress of the hospital and medical staff, to make memories together in the best way to suit them. From 100 applications a year in 2020, this doubled in 2021 and looks to triple in 2022 as more younger parents with young children receive results for stage 4 terminal cancer. Your support is deeply appreciated. Please see our ‘support us page’ or email
