Rutland Hall Hotel Celebrates Three New Recruits to their Leadership Team

Rutland Hall Hotel is celebrating further good news this month, as it welcomes three new colleagues to their leadership team.

Matthew McCristal joins as Hotel Manager. Having started his journey in hospitality as a teenager and grown within the industry, Matthew brings with him a wealth of knowledge and over 20 years’ experience, ranging from boutique hotels and wedding venues to larger chains, including his most recent role with Hilton Hotels.

“I’m excited to be part of the team at Rutland Hall Hotel,” said Matthew. “I was ‘wowed’ from my very first introduction to the property and people here. The historic buildings and beautiful grounds speak for themselves, but the commitment of the leadership team to drive forward the ambitious vision for the business is something I am eager to be part of.”

His all-encompassing role includes overseeing the operational development of the resort, from reception to overnight services, conferencing and the food and beverage offer in Blossoms Restaurant – which has recently been awarded a 5* Environmental Health Certification.

Yatin Kotak has been appointed as Director of Corporate Strategy. Yatin’s newly created role takes a long-term, holistic view of the resort, guiding strategic decision-making during this transformational time for the business.

Kirstie Ross heads up the HR team as HR & Training Manager, bringing with her a wealth of experience from previous senior HR leadership roles.

“Our people are at the heart of our success at Rutland Hall Hotel,” comments Kirstie. “The investment in the resort itself is being complemented with investment in the team, reflecting our philosophy to not only provide an unforgettable guest experience, but to be a respectful and value-driven workplace for all colleagues.”

Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa is a luxury country retreat situated on the shores of Rutland Water. Over the last 12 months the hotel has launched newly refurbished suites, bedrooms and apartments, revitalised meeting spaces and the beautiful Blossoms Restaurant, Bar & Terrace. The historic Main Hall has also seen a complete renovation, the team working closely with English Heritage to restore the beautiful, traditional hall to its former glory. It’s sweeping gravel drive way is a grand entrance for guests arriving at the hotel, and the building is home to a stunning new reception area as well as guest rooms and suites.
