Cartwright Communications expands business with new Birmingham office

Leading full-service communications agency Cartwright Communications has expanded its Midlands operations with a new office and team in Chamberlain Square, Birmingham.

The new Birmingham base is Cartwright’s second location, which will be led by account director Amelia Walker. Amelia, who was handpicked for the role by Cartwright company director and former colleague Rose Hayes, is joined by another former colleague - senior account manager Jo Kendall.

Together, the reunited trio brings 34 years of combined big brand experience, with a focus on property, construction, consumer and lifestyle. Amelia was brought on to the Cartwright team in 2021 following almost a decade working across large Birmingham agencies, while Jo began her career in the city before moving to London and Bristol prior to joining Cartwright earlier this year. 

The move forms part of Cartwright’s strategy to build its team around talent in the region and nationally, and comes as the agency was ranked sixth place in the small businesses category of the Best Workplace for Women.

The new four-person Birmingham team is serving a variety of Cartwright’s clients, including those with roots in the region, such as Willmott Dixon, Wrekin, CPW and Lovell Homes.

The agency – which is headquartered in Nottingham – recently ranked 34th for B2B and 85th for consumer PR in the prestigious PR Week Top 150 and received Great Place to Work accreditation.

Those successes came hot on the heels of being recognised as a 2022 EMEA Inspiring Workplace.
