10 Out of 10 for Two Chesterfield Nurseries

Two Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ Chesterfield children’s nurseries, Children 1st at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Children 1st @ St. Peter and St. Paul, have both been featured in the ‘Top 20 Most Recommended’ nurseries in the East Midlands 2022, after scoring a perfect 10 from parents.
The annual Top 20 Nursery Awards lists the most recommended day nurseries and nursery groups in each region of the UK and is compiled by leading peer review site Daynurseries.co.uk using the published review scores given by parents.
As part of a prestigious national award scheme, parents rate nurseries based on their overall standard, facilities and outside space, learning resources, equipment, ICT, care, activities, staff, food and nutrition, management, cleanliness and safeguarding as well as value for money.
Natalie Fern, Manager of Children 1st @ St. Peter and St. Paul located on Hady Hill, Calow, was thrilled to receive news of the nurseries achievement saying:

In addition to the achievements of these individual high flying nurseries, Children 1st Day Nurseries, which owns 24 nurseries across the Midlands and South Yorkshire, was named as one of the most recommended large nursery groups in the UK. Having featured in the listings since 2017, the latest accolade makes it five in a row for the family owned and managed nursery group.
Margaret Mason OBE founder and Chief Executive of Children 1st, described this Top 20 placing “a wonderful reflection of the valued and close relationships we have with our families which have been particularly important during the Covid 19 pandemic.”

Children 1st is currently ranked in the top three of nursery providers in the UK for the number of Outstanding Ofsted outcomes it holds as reported in the annual ‘Nursery Chains’ 2022 report published by leading sector magazine, ‘Nursery World.’
