Leicester Metro Bank Colleagues Volunteer for Race for Life

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause and 16 Metro Bank colleagues from the Leicester area will be using theirs to volunteer or run in the upcoming Cancer Research’s Race for Life in Leicester on July 24th. 

Metro Bank colleagues Loretta Manning, Forame Luis Atul, Fadumo Jama, Daryl Ramsell, Wanda Beasley, Christopher Humphreys, Laura Haden, Arlaisha Lake, Rupa Modha-Gopiani, Louise Wilson, Karen Morley, Mehzabin Kara, Michelle Ferguson, Joanna Hiorns, Karen Sanders, Sofia Sattar will be helping the organisers to set up and pack down the event , acting as marshals and answering queries at information points.

Over 400,000 will be taking part at Race for Life events this summer.

“Cancer touches everyone’s lives and colleagues are pleased to be able to use their Day to Amaze to help Cancer Research raise the funds it needs to help beat this disease,” explains Leicester Metro Bank assistant store manager, Kai Penn. “A huge thanks to all the colleagues and customers who are supporting those who are participating in the actual race – let’s hope they raise a small fortune.”
