Nottingham pair names as two of Europe's most inspiring workplaces

Two cornerstones of the Nottingham business scene - full-service comms agency Cartwright Communications and the UK’s number one accountancy firm Cooper Parry - have been named two of Europe’s most inspiring places to work.

Both businesses were ranked in the recent EMEA Inspiring Workplaces top 50, with Cartwright Communications listed as 25th and Cooper Parry taking 13th place as well as coming third in the mid-size company category.

The Inspiring Workplace Awards recognise great places to work and the roles within them, as well as shining a spotlight on employers that strive to deliver a better experience for their colleagues.

Rose Hayes, director at Cartwright Communications, said:

“Since coming together as a team and creating our business plan at the start of 2022, we’ve seen benefits both to the services we offer and the wellbeing of our team. Focusing on the working environment and creating an enjoyable and collaborative workplace has been beneficial to us all, so it’s great to be recognised alongside a business such as Cooper Parry which is so well known for its investment in its team.

“We’re equally proud of recently gaining our Great Place to Work accreditation and hope that it strengthens our reputation in the eyes of clients, colleagues, and future applicants.”

Cartwright’s nomination was applauded by judges, who acknowledged the agency’s focus on personal development and top-down inclusivity which has energised both clients and colleagues.

April Bembridge, chief people officer and partner at Cooper Parry, said:

“Super proud for Cooper Parry to be listed in the top three mid-size companies for most Inspiring Workplaces and as 13th in the overall listing.

“There were some awe-inspiring companies at the awards, all flying the flag to create better workplaces for their people and that’s what I love about the Inspiring Workplaces community, it never feels like a competition - instead a connection of like-minded individuals and businesses all sharing and celebrating together.”

From pottery classes to football tournaments, Cooper Parry’s entry was applauded for its focus on wellbeing. With everything from virtual activities to Bring Your Dog to Work days, Cooper Parry has excelled at its bespoke approach to ensuring colleagues are happy and healthy.
