IoD launches search for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire branch chair

The Institute of Directors (IoD) is seeking a new chair to become the voice of business for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

The IoD is a membership community for directors that provides professional development, valuable connections and an influential lobbying voice.

IoD Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire is the largest branch in the East Midlands with more than 300 members across a wide range of industries.

The successful candidate will support the IoD’s commitment to create better directors. They will focus on building inclusion, diversity and the highest standards of corporate governance while attracting new members to the Institute.

The voluntary position for a three-year term is open to IoD members who live or work in Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire. Applicants must have a demonstrable track record in board or equivalent roles with established business interests and a strong network of contacts.

IoD members range from start-up entrepreneurs to directors of large SMEs and international companies, as well as the public and third sectors.

The Institute secured vital support for directors during the Coronavirus pandemic, including financial assistance for wage bills and changes to insolvency rules.

Candidates should send their CV and covering letter to frances.fairclough@iod.com by 10 June 2022.
