Shed Grounds Maintenance expands its office team, to manage rapid recent growth

Over the last 12 months, Shed Grounds Maintenance has experienced a period of unprecedented, rapid growth.

During this time, this Derbyshire grounds maintenance company has won multiple new contracts: both expanding its arrangements with existing clients and providing its services to new.

To help them manage this additional workload and to ensure they continue to deliver the high service levels they have become known for, Shed needed to expand its office team.

In the past 6 months, Shed has taken on a new Accounts Administrator, a Marketing Assistant and a Business Administrator Apprentice. They have also restructured their business, promoting a team member to Operations Manager to support the Managing Director.

Tricia Austin is Shed’s new Accounts Administrator and oversees their accounting processes and keeps the finances in check. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the team, and her expertise in the areas of finance administration and business systemisation have already proven to be invaluable.

Josephine Walbank has taken on the role of Marketing Assistant, creating social posts, company updates and other marketing materials. Josephine is a freelance marketing consultant who has worked with a wide range of clients, across the UK and beyond.

And the last (but by no means least) addition to Shed’s office is Emma Delaney, the latest Apprentice to join team Shed. As their Business Administrator Apprentice, Emma is developing her skills to help manage the day-to-day office tasks. She provides customers with direct support both by email and telephone, ensuring their queries are met promptly.

Alongside adding this new talent to Shed’s team, Craig Clapperton has recently been promoted to Operations Manager. As part of this new role, Craig will be coordinating the operational side of the business. His role involves working with Dan Booth, Operations Supervisor to manage their operations team and coordinate visit schedules, and to complete site audits to ensure their team are delivering the quality Shed expects. He will also be liaising with clients for contract reviews and coordinating any projects they may require.

Peter Botham, Shed’s Managing Director, welcomes in the new recruits and expresses his hopes for Shed’s exciting future:

“We’re proud to have so many talented individuals join our office team. For us, this expansion is key to our ongoing company growth, and the aspirations that we have for the near future.

“It is vital for us to always plan and ensure we can provide the right infrastructure to support our teams, so that they continue to deliver a great service to our clients. It’s proving to be an exciting time for Shed and we are looking forward to the journey ahead.”

This expansion, and the variety of skills that everyone brings to the team, will set Shed up to meet its increasing customer demands, and continue this exciting growth into the future.
