Loughborough based armed forces charity supported by Amazon team

A Loughborough based charity that provides funding to support serving military personnel has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Kegworth.

The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Benevolent Fund (DMRC Benevolent Fund) is a volunteer-run charity that funds occupational support and social integration opportunities for serving military in rehabilitation at DMRC Stanford Hall.

Celia Syme, General manager at Amazon in Kegworth, said:

"We're grateful to DMRC Benevolent Fund for the care it provides to our service people, and I'm pleased we could support their efforts with this donation."

George Dent MBE, from DMRC Benevolent Fund , added:

"We thank Celia and the Amazon team in Kegworth for this donation. It means we can continue to provide vital support to our service people when they need it most."

DMRC Benevolent Fund received the donation as part of Amazon's programme to support communities in and around its operating locations across the UK.

Amazon is also providing disadvantaged students with online STEM courses as well as teaming up with charity partner Magic Breakfast and delivering more than five million health breakfasts to families across Endland.
