Big Celebrations for Small Businesses as East Midlands FSB Award Winners Named

Family businesses, start-ups, fast growing firms, and inspirational young entrepreneurs were all recognised for their achievements, innovations and contributions at the regional heats of the UK’s leading business awards this week.

Twelve small businesses from across the entire East Midlands took home winners’ trophies from the Federation of Small Businesses’ Celebrating Small Business Awards 2022, which took place on Wednesday 6th April in Leicester. Each of the category winners will now go on to compete at the National final in Glasgow on 19th May.

Each winner will also seek to be named the overall Small Business of the Year winner at the final next month.

FSB Development Manager Natalie Gasson-McKinley said today:

“The quantity and calibre of entries from across the region was beyond exceptional this year, which made shortlisting for the finalists alone a tough job, let alone selecting winners. Everyone who made it to the final has contributed and achieved so much amid the worse economic challenges for 300 years, and I congratulate every single one of them. Our winners list is seriously impressive and between them they really do demonstrate just why SMEs lead the way in creativity, tenacity, care for their staff and communities and ingenuity. Congratulations to all our winners and we hope to see some trophies from the national final make their way back to the East Midlands next month”.

The FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards 2022 is sponsored by Sky Connect and Mail Metro Media and additional support came from Chromebook, RVA Surveyors Ltd, FSB Insurance Service, Global Freight, Derbyshire County Council, University of Leicester Business School, Aldermore Bank, Tyl NatWest and NatWest.
