Ron Brooks Win Toyota ‘Ichiban Award’ for 2022 Recognising Excellent Customer Service

Ron Brooks Toyota are delighted to announce that their Toyota centre in Ilkeston has won the Toyota Ichiban award for the second time.

Translated into English as ‘Customer First’, the ‘Ichiban’ award was presented at a ceremony in London on 23rd February and was presented by Augustin Martin, Toyota GB Managing Director.

The award recognises the top centres from across Europe who lead the way in providing first class levels of customer service.

On winning the award, group operations manager, Mike Lane, commented: 

“We are extremely proud of all our colleagues who work hard to deliver a consistent and exceptional customer experience.

“It’s especially pleasing to win this award for a second time and to do so thanks to the work of both long-standing and new members of staff during challenges and uncertainty of the pandemic.”

Ron Brooks celebrates its 60th year in business this year and have always focussed very much on delivering and exceeding our customers’ expectations. 

Ron Brooks is also celebrating its 50th year representing Toyota in 2022. 

This award is extra special to Ron Brooks, as during the last 18 months we have introduced many new people into our business and seen the retirements and exit of many long-standing, experienced colleagues and that is always challenging for a business to ensure that the cultural DNA of the business is not damaged.

Kevin Slack, Managing Director, would like to thank each and every one of his colleagues and customers for their support and loyalty in achieving these excellent results.  

Ron Brooks last won at the BRITS in 2019 with the “Best Dealer” and “Best CDA” and they believe with the changes they are now making in the business; both of their sites can challenge once again for these accolades this year.

Ron Brooks therefore remains firmly in a positive spotlight, not only in the UK but also on the European map with Toyota.
