Nottinghamshire site managers get seal of approval for construction quality

Two Barratt Homes Site Managers have won a top national award for the quality of homes being built at new housing developments in Bingham and Newark.

The National House Building Council (NHBC) have recognised Paul Hulme (45) and Liam Pettet (32) for their site management capabilities with a Seal of Excellence Award, marking them as among the best in the UK.

Paul is overseeing the construction of the Romans’ Quarter development in Bingham, while Liam is overseeing the developer’s Fernwood Village development in Newark.

Paul said:

“It’s nice to be recognised for all the hard work we all put in and with this being my second Seal of Excellence Award, it feels just as great as the first time.

“We are building a high quality development at Romans’ Quarter and to win this award gives the confirmation that my site team deserve for their passion with delivering homes with high standards.

“Everyone plays their part so I’d like to thank my whole team for their efforts over the past year.”

These accolades rate Site Managers against key criteria such as technical expertise, health and safety, consistency, leadership and attention to detail. The awards celebrate the vital role Site Managers play in ensuring new homes are delivered on-time, on safe sites and to the highest quality standards.

Liam said:

“It’s great working at the Fernwood Village development. There is a lot of energy about the site and the team are absolutely brilliant to work with.

“It is fantastic to be an award winner and it means a lot to me. I am really proud to have won three Seal of Excellence awards.

“I think being an award-winning site reflects massively on the quality of the development. We are running with a 100% customer satisfaction score from our surveys which is testament to the quality of the homes we are producing. I would like to thank my team, without them and the efforts they put in everyday, winning these awards wouldn’t be possible.”
