Al Fresco Bassetlaw: First serving of Harworth and Bircotes Food and Drink Show, arriving 9 April

Food and drink-lovers in North Nottinghamshire will soon be flocking to the inaugural Harworth and Bircotes Food and Drink Show, taking place in the town’s new civic square on Saturday 9 April.

Organised by North Notts BID in partnership with Harworth and Bircotes Town Council, the new and free event will run from 10am-4pm and showcase a variety of food and drink offerings – including street food and patisserie stalls as well as a selection of craft beer, cider and gin traders.

The show is also an opportunity for visitors to purchase kitchen, tableware and pottery from local vendors. Set to be a fun day for all the family, the event will feature entertainment from The Stilt Chefs and a Vegetable Critters Workshop.

Sally Gillborn, chief executive at North Notts BID, said:

“We are delighted to organise and launch the first Harworth and Bircotes Food and Drink Show in partnership with the town council, which is assured to be a fantastic and free day out for foodies in North Nottinghamshire.”

North Notts BID is in search of a variety of local artisan and unique food and drink-related produce and products. With market stalls still available starting from £12, vendors who are interested are urged to get in touch via the North Notts BID website.

Sally added:

“The event is an amazing business-generating opportunity for local food and beverage suppliers who are as ambitious as we are to reinvigorate hospitality and drive footfall back into our town centres. We encourage any vendors who are still interested in being a part of the food and drink show to get in touch.”

“We are thrilled to continue expanding our calendar of events organised by North Notts BID across the region, including the eagerly anticipated launches of the North Notts Nectar Trail and Dinosaur Discovery event - as well as established favourites such as the North Notts Food Fest and Party in the Square.”

As part of the BID’s commitment to reducing single use plastics, the event is offering a discount to people who bring their own refillable containers to purchase. Visitors and businesses can keep up to-date with event announcements on the North Notts Food & Drink Show or North Notts BID social channels.
