Nottingham-based creative agency have recently worked with Team GB ahead of the Winter Olympics

Nottingham based creative agency; Turbine Creative partner with the British Olympic Association on Team GB Covid Prevention campaign.

The Winter Olympics begins this week, with the opening ceremony held on Friday 4th Feb at Beijing National Stadium, also known as “The Bird’s Nest".

Following a successful partnership in Summer 2021, Turbine Creative have been working with the British Olympic Association (BOA) in the run-up to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, on a behaviour change campaign promoting Covid safe behaviours to Team GB athletes.

Turbine Creative have worked with a range of leading Team GB experts from the fields of medicine, sports performance and behavioural psychology to establish the most effective communication methods. The campaign features messaging focussed on the ideas of protecting teammates and
aligning with recipient’s moral values, along with providing a level of reassurance at what is likely to be a stressful time for athletes.

The strategic messaging works alongside a unique visual identity, created by Turbine Creative, which incorporates an arresting colour palette and active and dynamic imagery of Team GB athletes to drive home the sense of teamwork and success. The campaign will be implemented on-site at the
Olympic Village though posters, videos on large screens, wayfinding signage,and via athlete social media platforms. All messaging targeting athletes at key touch points during their preparation and arrival at the games to minimise covid risks.

Following Turbine Creative’s work for the Summer Olympics, all Team GB athletes remained Covid free, described by the Independent as 'The Miracle of Tokyo'. The team at Turbine Creative will be cheering on the athletes this Winter and will be keeping a particular look out for Niall Treacy, Nottingham based speed skater, who is competing in the 1000m alongside his brother Farrell.
