Leicestershire gin distiller to bring a taste of local woodland to networking exhibition

One of Leicestershire’s most successful craft gin distiller will be bringing the true flavours of the local area to the Love Business EXPO.

Burleighs Gin will be exhibiting its standout range of award-winning gins at the business networking event – which is taking place on Thursday 17th February at Holywell Park.

Based in Leicestershire’s Nanpantan, Burleighs handcrafts and distils every bottle using traditional techniques and uses botanicals harvested from its local surroundings – including silver birch, dandelion, burdock and elderberries – to produce premium quality gin with true authenticity. 

Through its tenacity and creativity, the independent business has achieved notable successes during the last eight years. It has doubled in size and launched over 20 new products – including the National Forest Gin, which has been created to provide vital funds to the National Forest and support its vision for growing a better and greener future.

Burleighs’ marketing associate, Sam Munton, and gin academy manager, Emma Tinsley, will be available at the expo to discuss how each product has been inspired by the Leicestershire region and will also be handing out tasters for anyone who would like to sample the different gins.

From its Signature Gin created using unique botanicals found in the ancient woodland surrounding its distillery, to gins that have been created in collaboration with significant Leicester-based businesses and organisations including Leicester Tigers, Leicester City Football Club, and King Richard III, Burleighs is passionate about its Leicestershire roots.

Alongside its award-winning creations, Burleighs will also be displaying a selection of miniature copper stills that are used during its popular gin distilling experiences on Bawden Lodge Farm, where guests can learn how to create a bespoke and unique gin using botanicals of their choice.

The authentic gin-making experience can be booked for 24 people at a time at the distillery, making it an ideal attraction for corporate groups or team building excursions.

Attendees will also be able to sample Burleighs’ ready-to-drink cans – which were launched last year – at the KuKu Connect drinks reception from 2pm.
