BIRDS BAKERY OPENS NEW STORE IN LOUGHBOROUGH

Family-run Birds Bakery has opened the doors of its new store in Loughborough, Leicestershire, selling its famous sweet treats, cakes and pastries.

The new store, which has been relocated to Market Place from its former location on Carillon Court, is one of the company’s 62 stores in the East Midlands and will enhance the town’s existing retail park.

The existing building has been transformed into a café in the bakery’s signature style, with a purpose-built hot serving counter, allowing the bakery to serve a wider range of hot food for customers to takeaway, as well as a new high-grade coffee machine.

Mike Holling, sales and marketing director at Birds Bakery, said:

“We are delighted to have opened the doors to our Loughborough customers this week and show off our newly refurbished store at our new location.

“We made the decision to relocate our Loughborough site due to its popular location, which is close-by to local residents. We have invested £120,000 to refit this store, after we opened a brand new one in West Bridgford earlier this year and are committed to investing in our stores to provide customers with a welcoming and pleasant experience when visiting Birds Bakery.”

Birds Bakery has recently a new online shop, giving shoppers across the UK the chance to have their favourite goods delivered straight to their door. Its local home delivery and ring and reserve services are also still available as usual.
