ITP Aero donates over 100 toys to the Great Nottinghamshire Toy Appeal this Christmas!

The generous team at ITP Aero in Hucknall has donated more than 100 gifts for children of all ages to this year’s Great Nottinghamshire Toy Appeal.

Dozens of toys were donated by employees and a collection across the business raised over £500 to buy even more gifts for children across the county, who might not otherwise receive a gift this Christmas.

The Great Nottinghamshire Toy Appeal takes donations of thousands of toys every year for children across the city and county, from babies to teenagers. Run completely by volunteers, the appeal works with a number of local agencies, refuges and housing organisations, to ensure that Santa can definitely find the vulnerable children in their care.

It is the first year that ITP Aero UK has taken part in the appeal, but the team in Hucknall (previously Rolls Royce) have been involved for the past few years, and it has become a cause very close to their hearts.

General Manager at ITP Aero UK in Hucknall, Ian Williamson, said:

“I am so proud of our teams for collecting and delivering such a huge amount of toys for vulnerable children across our county.

“We are going through a huge integration project at the minute, which means our employees are incredibly busy. For so many of them to take the time to either buy a gift, donate money, and especially for those taking part and supporting the appeal to organise all the donations, is a phenomenal effort. I’m incredibly proud to be a part of this business, as the people involved really do show such compassion for others.

“I hope we have managed to raise a few smiles on Christmas morning for those children that might not have otherwise had a present under the tree. Merry Christmas from all at ITP Aero UK.”

The Appeal has been run by a number of different groups over the years, but has continued to support the children of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire for over five decades.

Nick Clark who heads up the Great Nottinghamshire Toy Appeal, said:

“It’s fantastic that organisations like ITP Aero can offer all this support. The fact that their employees can get together and collect all these toys and bring them back here to support the local community, cannot be underestimated. Thanks to their generosity, that’s over 100 children that will now have something to open on Christmas morning, and they might not have done otherwise – that’s the reality.

“We had one of our collectors in tears when they picked up their toys last week, because the toys they received would ensure their organisation could still function – that’s how tight things are on the bottom end at the moment.”
