LED Lighting Installation Helps Leicester Charity Save Funds

Leicester based electricians, Blaby Electrical, have reported an increase in the number of businesses deciding to make the switch to LED lighting for their workplaces, as the benefits begin to become more apparent to business owners.

Blaby Electricals client, Mosaic 1898 – a disability charity located in Leicester Forest East, have recently decided to convert, and invest in LED lighting alternatives. Blaby Electrical installed 90 LED lighting fixtures for the Leicestershire charity and according to Blaby Electrical, an LED rollout of this scale will offer a huge financial benefit to Mosaic 1898 as time goes by, helping save funds and cut down on energy costs. It is predicted that the charity will benefit from an annual saving on energy of over £1,500 and can look forward to an anticipated ROI, over ten years, worth almost £7,500! This is further compounded by rising energy tariffs.

In terms of the energy-saving possibilities, Blaby Electrical have predicted that Mosaic 1898 will now achieve annual savings of just over 5,400 kW hours and almost 1,300 Kg of CO2, which is the equivalent amount of CO2 reduction if up to as many as 126 mature trees were planted!

Mosaic 1898’s Chief Executive Officer, Zoheb Shariff said:

LED lights offer countless benefits due to being the most energy-efficient form of lighting. They have a prolonged lifespan, lasting 40 times longer than an incandescent light bulb and 2 – 4 times longer than most fluorescent, metal halide and sodium vapour lights.
