Cybersecurity specialist launches ‘attack’ on recruitment with consultancy and engineering roles

Cybersecurity specialist Nexor is on the hunt for new consultants and engineers to join its team, with successful candidates working with organisations such as the UK Government, British Army and NATO.

Continued growth during the pandemic has already led to the Nottingham-based firm hiring a new principal consultant, portfolio manager, and two graduate software engineers over the last six months. Recruitment activities continue with a further seven roles on offer.

The business, which delivers high assurance cyber security solutions to defence and security and law enforcement organisations across Europe, has current vacancies for a senior consultant, principal consultant, senior solutions architect, devops engineer, software engineer, senior sales executive and senior test automation engineer.

In supporting the UK prosperity agenda to make Britain the safest place to do business online, the hires will help Nexor continue to help its customers transfer information across domains with unparalleled security.

Nexor has been successful in the defence and security market since 1992, and is one of the Government’s official cyber security suppliers in recognition of the solutions it has provided to various governmental departments. Its secure information exchange solutions have also been deployed throughout the 'Five Eyes' and NATO communities.

Peter Austin joined the company as a Portfolio Manager in August. He has more than 15 years experience in the information security field, having previously worked for a major Managed IT services organisation, where he was responsible for development and accreditation of secure networking services.

Peter said: “Moving from a large multi-national to the smaller, focussed team at Nexor has been a positive development of my career. My new colleagues have warmly listened and debated the evolving Nexor portfolio with me, and we are positioning Nexor for an exciting future ”

Commenting on their expansion, Irene Dovey, Head of Corporate Services at Nexor, said:

“We are very pleased to be further expanding our team of cyber security experts and look forward to seeing the array of applications for the roles. With more and more businesses operating hybrid work models, it is more important than ever to ensure Britain is secure and has the right talent doing so.”

Over the next 12 months, the company will expand on its research-driven initiatives to bring more flexible digitally enabled solutions to market in supporting its customer base with their response to the constantly evolving threats in cyber security.
