EXPANSION FOR ENGINEERS AS RODGERS LEASK OPENS IN NOTTINGHAM

Leading engineering consultancy Rodgers Leask is expanding by opening its fourth UK office in Nottingham.

The firm – which was first established in a single office in Derby in 1984 and now offers structural, civil, geo-environmental and transport planning services across a range of sectors nationwide – is preparing to open the new office later this month as the company goes from strength to strength.

The office in Nottingham’s historic Lace Market will join the firm’s branches in Derby, Birmingham and Bristol, and will be led by divisional director Chris Pollett and associate director Peter Sparham.

Chris, who will lead the office’s structural engineering element, said:

“This is a great opportunity to continue to grow the business and expand further, building on the great work done by Rodgers Leask’s other offices across the UK.

“The Midlands is where the company was born and it’s a chance to not only better support our existing clients in the region but grow the company by reaching new clients. I’m delighted to be heading up the new office and can’t wait to get started.”

Civil engineer Peter said:

“The expansion is part of a plan to grow the business sustainably, and with our existing client business in the East Midlands area it seemed right to open an office in Nottingham. The business has been very resilient over the last 18 months so this is a great time to push the company forward.”

Rodgers Leask managing director Paul Spencer said:

“Over the last forty years, we’ve had great success working on big projects across the UK, and we want to continue on the success by further expanding our footprint by opening in Nottingham.

“We’re keen to hire locally which will help bring a personalised touch to our team as well as our usual commitment to excellence for all our clients.”

Following the company’s establishment in the 1980s and rapid growth through the 1990s, Rodgers Leask branched out in the new millennium, adding specialist geotechnical and geo-environmental services to its civil and structural services.

In 2012, Rodgers Leask added traffic and transportation planning services to its portfolio of services on offer, as well as opening its Longbridge office. Two years later, the firm relocated its headquarters from its long time Canal Street home in Derby to larger offices in Derby city centre.

Its first office in the southwest was then opened in Bristol in 2015, and more than 75 employees now work across the company, going the extra mile to ensure its engineers can offer personalised and practical solutions for clients.
