Leicestershire Charity receives donation from the UK’s leading retirement housing developer

McCarthy Stone, the UK’s leading retirement developer have recently pledged their support for Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland and Pukka’s ‘Gather Round for Grandparents’ Day’ campaign.

With a generous donation of £250, McCarthy Stone have demonstrated their ethos of championing the role, wellbeing and happiness of older people in society by supporting Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland with their latest fundraising campaign in collaboration with Pukka.

With a more positive outlook for the future, Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland are keen to re-establish those close family bonds that have been missing for such a long time. The charity continues to help those who have been isolated and fearful for more than a year to re-engage with their families, communities and support networks.

National Grandparents’ Day (Sunday 3rd October) was a poignant milestone for many families but for so many more it was also a welcome opportunity to sit together around a table once again and enjoy the company of wonderful older relatives and friends.

McCarthy Stone, the UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, which has a Retirement Living Plus development in Oakham, Saxon Gardens, also lent its support to Pukka and Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland’s ‘Gather Round for Grandparents’ Day’ campaign by making a £250 donation.
