Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

Leading Marketing Agency, Mocha Marketing are continuing to pave the way for the next generation of budding creatives by expanding their team, providing work experience and learning opportunities for university students.

Since their incorporation in 2014, Mocha Marketing have been committed to providing training and development opportunities for students and after joining forces with Recruitment Consultancy, ER Recruitment at the start of 2021 to support their BrightER Futures programme, the partnership has proven a resounding success.

Throughout their years in recruitment, ER Recruitment have seen first-hand the challenges faced by recent graduates when entering the job market. Their BrightER Futures programme, developed in partnership with De Montfort University (DMU), is designed to shape graduates’ future prospects whilst giving them the resources needed to thrive within an increasingly competitive market. Mocha Marketing, who have worked alongside ER Recruitment for some time, are one of the many businesses supporting the BrightER Futures scheme where just twenty DMU students were selected to be matched with employers across Leicester’s business community.

Website whizz, Katy Sansom who has just completed her Media Production degree at DMU, joined Mocha Marketing in February 2021 through BrightER Futures, and grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Eager to gain as much experience as possible, instead of carrying out the required four days’ work experience, she committed to work one day a week over four months until she graduated, no mean feat on top of her final year studies.

With her role consisting predominantly of website design and build, there is no doubt that Katy has been a perfect match for the Mocha Marketing team after more than proving herself with her technical capability on a number of projects. Her positive can-do attitude to work along with her skill has certainly not gone unnoticed. In fact, she proved so invaluable during her time at Mocha Marketing, Katy secured a full-time graduate role with the agency!

This is not only an incredible achievement by Katy, but the result of what can be achieved when two like-minded local businesses come together to support the futures of young people. There is no doubt ER Recruitment’s BrightER Futures programme will help kickstart the careers of many more students to come.

In September, Mocha Marketing welcomed their next university student, Harry on a yearlong industrial placement. Harry, a Business Management and Economics student at the University of Sheffield will earn a wealth of experience in marketing during his year at Mocha Marketing, learning how to plan strategically and execute various marketing campaigns.

Managing Director of Mocha Marketing, Chloe Dennis had this to say; “As an agency, we always strive to give students learning opportunities and we were thrilled when we were matched with Katy back in February. We are so proud of how far she has come in such a short space of time, she has absolutely blown us away. Katy has been a perfect fit for us at Mocha and she has very quickly become vital to our operations, so we are delighted to have her as a permanent part of our team! I know Katy has a very exciting career ahead of her and we cannot thank Eileen Richards and ER Recruitment enough for their support!”

“We are so looking forward to seeing Harry learn and grow over the course of this year. Harry is already a fantastic addition to Mocha and we hope his placement year will provide him with the opportunity to immerse himself in the world of marketing! We can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
