East Mids collaboration produces vital girls football sponsorship

East Midlands-based independent property, construction and infrastructure consultancy, Pick Everard has announced its sponsorship of the U14 Nottingham based girls football team, Aspire FC.

The team recently accepted an invitation to join the Junior Premier League (JPL) for Girls, where they will play alongside some of the most talented young footballers in the Country, many of whom are affiliated to professional football clubs.

Pick Everard is the main sponsor for the team’s playing and training kits and has provided much needed funding to support the team on their journey in the JPL. Competing at the highest level, the girls will play against some topflight teams in the midlands and London region - including West Ham, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and Watford among others. The exciting sponsorship marks the next step for the girls, some of which have been together for over seven years playing with coach David Parker.

On hearing news of the sponsorship, David said:

“All at Aspire FC are very proud of the achievements of our talented girls team. The future certainly looks very bright for them. To have received the welcome support of such a well-established and respected company like Pick Everard is an absolute delight. It shows that all of our hard work and efforts are recognised. I am sure the girls will be very proud to represent Nottingham, the county and Pick Everard on their travels around the country.”

The ambitious group of talented girls are the current Nottinghamshire Girls and Ladies Football League Division One League Champions and Cup holders, and are the current County, Regional and East of England Futsal Champions.

Matt Hall, national director at Pick Everard, said:

“The opportunity to support youngsters in a city close to Pick Everard’s heart, is something we’re very proud of. Making sure that we give back to the Nottingham community through our work is of the utmost importance, which is why we ensure not just to do things like this in our communities, but evidence the impact through effective social value measurement too.

“The city is in a period of real growth and change, that Pick Everard is excited to be a part of so extending this gratitude to the football team was a no-brainer. We’re keen to continue giving back to grassroots organisations such as Aspire FC, and we wish the team all the best for the season.”

The decision to support this fantastic team mirrors Pick Everard’s approach to working for the public sector in pivotal schemes that bring about real change for people. This includes its work under Perfect Circle’s unique collaboration at the existing Broadmarsh site along with Willmott Dixon and Scape, where demolition is set to start this summer. The multi-million-pound redevelopment of the former shopping centre will drastically improve the city once completed.

Working with some of the world's leading designers and masterplanners, Pick Everard is part of a specialist team helping to reshape Nottingham. With work well underway on the car park, and public realm and demolition due to start, the firm is looking forward to future plans and how the city will be improved.  Through Perfect Circle, Pick Everard is engaged as a multidisciplinary offering using local supply chain, SMEs and international partners alike to ensure it provides a world-class service for Nottingham City Council.
